About Me

As a kid I believed that the treasures in my mother's jewelry box were magic amulets that would give me immeasurable power and that old books could transport me to secret worlds. As an adult, not much has changed.

Born and raised in Northern Manitoba, I grew up drawn to the darker side of literature. Vampires were my first love but that soon branched into ghosts, werewolves, demons, angels, and anything else that might make you sleep with the lights on. I began writing at thirteen and completed my first novella at sixteen -- a broody vampire romance.

My early influences were Christopher Pike and Anne Rice. Current obessions are Maggie Stiefvater, Lauren Kate, and Gillian Flynn. Hopefully, one day I can create a story that will haunt a reader's dreams like their stories did mine.
